After having the winter off to mature and grow a little, Simone is doing well. She's still a bundle of energy but is quite an attentive little girl now.
She has been trained on and off during this spring and I felt she had come far enough to cope with a Novice round, and entered her in a show.
So off we went to Beverley racecourse..
Now, we got lost on the way, and went through several villages with narrow twisting roads and lots of speed bumps. Simone did not appreciate all the twisting and turning and 'bumping'  and was very sick indeed...
When we got to the show I walked her round for a while to settle her and then fed her some food, to replace what she had so kindly deposited in the back of my car. She was then left to recouperate for an hour or so.
We had to do our 'stay' exercise at 11.30am.
A 1minute  sit stay and a 2 minute down stay.
She did these beautifully and never moved a paw.
After lunch I did a little training with her to see how she felt about working in a 'show' environment, with dogs and people all around. It didn't seem to phase her at all, so off we went to the ring.

Simone did a lovely 'heel on lead' exercise and lost no points.
Then came 'heel free', just as lovely I thought but we lost 1/2  a point.
Her recall was great and again we lost no points.
The retrieve was good, she was just a little crooked in her present and we lost 1/4 of a point for that.

So all in all, we lost 3/4 of a point....
This was enough to win the class, and I was over the moon. My baby girl had done me proud, and I was really pleased with her.

Here is a copy of the 'Judges report'
1st Mrs A. M. Fox with FOXFOLD FAIRYTALE GSD (B) losing 3/4.
This team produced a cracking accurate round of how to compete in Obedience with every aspect trained to perfection!
I found it hard to find fault but 1/2 mark was lost in H/F, Clear HOL and
Recall and a 1/4 was lost for a slight off crooked present in the R/T.
Brilliant Round;
Superb Dog and oh such lovely handling and relationship between dog and
handler. You deserved this award. Won Best GSD rosette.
